Aoife - i wouldn't really consider cycling down as something requiring any bravery, it's more more or less sitting on a saddle and enjoying the views :)

True - but having been a passenger in a local driver's car on more than one occasion, I know that any kind of journey (whether by foot / bicycle / or high-speed car) in the Gap is a dicey dance with death! I remain firm in my admiration!
